How to Stack Your Image of Comet Atlas C/2019 Y4 This Spring 2020

With Comet Atlas C/2019 Y4 approaching I wanted to find a way to capture and Process it with the programs I have. There are a bunch of different stacking and processing programs, but I do not have most of them. Instead I have the Free DeepSkyStacker and Adobe PhotoshopCC.

Now I am not sure if you are aware but (DSS) DeepSkyStacker has a special feature in it called “Comet Mode“. And some of you are wondering how to use it as I was when I first did. So it may not be the best way or program to stack a comet but it was good enough for me.

Bellow are 2 Youtube Tutorials that I made these past couple of days on how to do it with (DSS) and I also go into processing the image in Photoshop. I know some people mix DSS with another final output program and vice versa. But I do know that even with any program that you use, most will end up using Photoshop for the finishing touches.

So please enjoy and I hope these videos help out and that you can get some nice Images. I also know that I need to add more annotations on some parts that you do not understand. I will do updates in the near future.
