The Whirlpool Galaxy M51 (Messier 51)

The Whirlpool Galaxy, also known as Messier 51 or M51, and also NGC 5194. The Whirlpool Galaxy is an interacting  spiral galaxy with an active galactic nucleus.  It was the first Galaxy to be called and classifed as a Spiral Galaxy. It is about 24 Million light years from Earth.
